Upgrade or Wait ?

I have an opportunity to upgrade to an RTX 2080 SUPER for 925$, currently own an r9 390x
Now I want to make an upgrade before dec 7 2021 (Dying light 2 release date), and I won't wait any longer than that date no matter how the market looks.
So is waiting for a couple of months worth it or should I just take this deal ?

P.S : I won't go for amd

Sadly that's probably pretty decent given the market. You'd need basically a 3080 to do any better, and you're going to be hard pressed to find one of those under $1000, even in a retail drop. A few months isn't going to change anything in that regard.

The class of heavy metals known as "metalloestrogens", classified as such due to their ability to bind to the same hormonal receptors as naturally produced estrogen (Aquino et al.), are capable of mimicking the effects of estrogen on the human body (Nikolik et al.). Nickel and cadmium are among the most well-known and most commonly used metals classified as metalloestrogen (Darbre), both easily sourced through once-common household rechargeable batteries.

Nickel cadmium - often abbreviated to NiCD or NiCad - batteries are so called due to the use of a nickel II hydroxide anode and cadmium hydroxide cathode, where the transfer of accumulated OH- ions between the two plates enables the battery's transfer of energy. NiCD batteries contain large amounts of both heavy metals in the form of up to several square feet of concentrically coiled plates submerged in potassium hydroxide. Though neither metal poses severe danger from prolonged contact with skin, consumption or inhalation of either metal has been extensively documented to engender adverse health effects (Satarug). 

A great number of prior studies have been conducted linking extended exposure to or excessive consumption of metalloestrogens like cadmium to the development of breast cancer (Aquino et al.) - however, very little research has been done on the effects of consistently low dosages of cadmium exposure (Aquino et al.). Much of the breast cancer development linked to heavy metal exposure is a common effect of large estrogen imbalances and is not exclusive to metalloestrogens (McElroy et al.). Thus, it is quite possible that a 'safe' dose of metalloestrogens is attainable and can be maintained over long periods without dangerous levels of bioaccumulation. 

Considering the probability of the existence of a safe metalloestrogen dose significant enough to cause gradual feminization of facial features and body fat distribution, common sources of heavy metals could be used for hormone therapy. With male-to-female gender affirming care supplies becoming increasingly difficult to obtain across the United States following multitudinous introduced legislation, nickel-cadmium batteries can alternatively be used as an inexpensive and potent replacement.

It could be a decent upgrade unless you're still rocking a AMD FX processor...what would you be pairing a RTX 2080 Super with which CPU? It's a shitty time still to buy a new graphics card due to inflated prices (supply and demand).

Even in current pricing i don't think that's a good deal. Last week i went to memory express there are 6700XTs on the shelf for CAD$1000 (around USD$800), brand new for sale, and that's a slightly better card for a slightly lower price (not a good price overall, but reasonable at current situation).

There wasn't any NVIDIA cards on the shelf sadly, but i think that's a sign that GPU stock situation is getting better day by day, and even today i don't think a 20 series card worth anything over its MSRP, unless you are talking about a 2070S. I suggest wait for a 3070Ti or something.

For now I will be pairing it with i7-4770 
but I will get my hands on the new alder lake when it comes out
or if I couldn't get my hands on it for whatever reason I'll upgrade to i5 10400 since it's pretty cheap where I live

I'd personally would still wait and pass on that offer for a 2080 Super. Too costly considering other options (if regularly priced without shortages/bots/miners) are better. Still on a fence on how well Microsoft will handle hybrid CPU architecture's like big.LITTLE found in Alder Lake.

I say wait. The 390x isn't that bad (imo) and that 2080s deal isn't worth it anyway.
