I need power supply

Hello guys! i am trying to build low budget gaming pc but idk which supply to pick.

Here is my build :

cpu:i5 3470

gpu:rx 570

motherboard:P8Q77m

ram: ddr3 1600MHz 8gb (2x4gb)

so i was thinking about: "Golden Field Power supply 500W 120mm fan " but idk is it enough or not 

Ps: i want to overclock my pc and ik that my cpu is locked but this motherboard will let me do that anyways

No, I wouldn't buy that power supply. Stick to brand name manufacturers or you'll be sorry.

 

That CPU can not be overclocked. Motherboard may let you overclock RAM and maybe increase FSB by a couple Mhz (which I don't recommend) but you won't get any significant performance increase.

 

What matters is how much power the power supply can provide on 12v, because that's what it's used to power the cpu and video card, the most power hungry components.

I did a quick google search and no website shows pictures of the power supply, and the label on the power supply. That label is important, but even that can be fake and lying.

 

A page says only 3 sata connectors and 2 molex connectors, which is more on par with a 350-400w psu, another page says it's atx v2.03 which means the design is very old so most likely the power supply is crap that would barely do 300-350 on 12v... probably won't even have a pci-e 8 pin connector.

i'd avoid that psu if you care about your system.

 

A corsair cx550 would be about as low as I would go.

Yeah, I suspect he's from a country that has a harder time affording Corsair ... he's probably from Georgia, Russia, Montenegro, Greece, this region....

 

Lowbudgetguy ... link to some local it stores and we may be able to suggest something that would be acceptable.
