ok so like this is probably going to sound like a very dumb question, but i have no idea how this stuff works so hear me out.

I have a b450 gaming pro carbon max wifi mother board, which houses an extra 4pin slot for the cpu aswell as the 8 pin one ( im using a ryzen 3 3200g btw) and my power source is a modular power source but does not have 4 extra pin slots dedicated for this kind of thing. But i was thinking, hypothetically if i the right cable, could i plug the cable into 4 unused slots which were intended for ssd's?

does it work like that?, also im using the onboard graphics of my cpu so im not getting a graphics card, so could i just plug something into the unused 24 pins for the graphics card? idk call me crazy but i made a diagram in microsoft paitn incase that didnt make any sence

(once again im a noob lol)

(edit - also would it be possible to overclock without the extra 4 pins, i was looking on forums and people were saying you just need the extra 4 pins for like "mega extreeme" overclocking, and seeing as my cpu only clocks to 4.0 max i feel like i should be fine right? or does onboard graphics suck up alot of power

Also just incase i want to change it later what is a powersource that does have the extra slots for the cpu)

Corsair doesn't make those cables, so I'd definitely not recommend trying to find some cable that goes from the SATA/peripheral port to 4 pin EPS.

The 4 pin EPS is not needed.

The 8 pin EPS connector does up to 384W already, while a 3200G does not use even more than 80 or so watts.

Even when overclocking or using the built-in graphics of the 3200G, without the 4 pin you're just fine.

Those Extra cpu pin is only necessary if you have a beefy CPU and want to overclock it hard

Just using the 8 pin is perfectly fine for your use case
