Electrical noise CPU area

Go to solution Solved by RobinsonBradley,

Ok I just found the culprit. It's just the capellix being noisy on balanced/extreme mode so i'm just keeping it at silent. I found that different people have the same noise so i'm happy that it isn't a bad noise just a noisy pump.

I just built a new pc and I encountered this weird noise inside, my previous pc didn't have this problem. I don't know if it's a bad noise or if it's just "a noise". Can i do something about it, like troubleshoot some components? I am also fairly certain it is not the PSU because the noise comes from the CPU/pump area.

A video in the attachment.

My specs:

  • Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
  • MSI MPG Z590 Gaming Plus (BIOS version A.00)
  • Intel core i7 11700KF (no overclock)
  • MSI RTX 3070 Ti Gaming X trio 8G (stock)
  • DDR4 Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB 3200MHz (XMP profile 1)
  • Corsair HX850 (850W 80+ platinum)
  • SSD, Samsung SSD 970 EVO 1TB, 931,51 GB (boot drive)
  • SSD, Samsung SSD 980 PRO 1TB, 931,51 GB
  • HDD, ST1000DM010-2EP102, 931,51 GB

It's pretty low pitch so i guess it was the water pump that Mae the noise

Pumps can make some noise, CPU itself shouldn't.

Either when starved of liquid, been running poorly without liquid, a bad pump or if used the pump for long, any buildup inside of it (gunk in the tubes/CPU cooling block). sometimes the GPU can make noise too, like if you hold onto the backplate stops some noise?

Holding the backplate doesn't stop the noise and the pc is only 4 days old. I'm gonna try to put the radiator in a different configuration and hope for the best.
