Hey guys i was wondering if I should upgrade some specs on my build sense I've been having some issues with some of my components. Even just adding something as small as ram 3200Mhz shuts down my PC completely. So I'm trying to start from PSU and MOBO first sense they're the Cheapest and I wanted to know other people's opinion on it as well.

GPU-Nvida GTX 1650 super which i think is fine for now in my opinion

CPU- Ryzen 3 3100-4 core processor. thinking about upgrading that sometime in the future.

RAM- Crucial Ballistix 16GB 3200MHZ which i think alittle much for my specs i think?

PSU- High power Model HPG-500BR-F12S 500-watt standard bronze. which i never heard of this brand personally?

Storage- 500 GB ADATA SU720

How the hell adding ram can shut down a pc?, I mean what is your current Motherboard are?, a320? If so it might be the issue because a320 can't hold a ram over 3000mhz. But I don't think that always the case..

Upgrade the PSU, Add HDD if you want. The GPU and CPU already a good middle range combo, Maybe add M.2 for faster load time. Other than that it still pretty much good

Right, and that’s why I tried to downgrade the speed to DDR4-2100 and even at that speed it still shuts off

Id bank on it being a PSU issue, and if you want a really basic but solid board look at like a Gigabyte B450 AORUS M. They are like $100 Canadian so if you are in the states you should be able to find one for like $80. Its not "future proof" by any means but with what you are currently running it would be a solid board. As for a PSU just find something that is name brand, AT LEAST bronze rated efficiency and 500 watts or higher.

I would upgrade your PSU, if you’ve never heard of the brand that’s at the very least a concern if not an immediate danger. Make a post in the Cases & PSUs section to get a recommendation.
