Hello All!

New to posting and PC building/replacing parts so please bear with me and this is a multi-part question! I purchased an Ibuypower Element version 2 and just recently upgraded my RAM. I would like to see better performance while gaming and to establish a better internet connection. I am currently running off Wi-Fi even though I know ethernet is the best. As of right now, it is very difficult to do at the moment. Please let me know if I am missing any of the specs! Thank you all very taking the time to read this and your support!

internet it depends, sometimes if it's in a bad area for connection, then neither would help.

Wifi can be nice, depends on range and router to the Wifi card. I see you have a bit older type?

Also how stable the internet connection is there and from the card, with cable you would still need to go through the second part like with wifi.

PSU can be for a while, but you never said the name of it, just the ratings, like corsair - RM or RMX series as an example, that might be 600w 80 gold.

If it's a bad PSU it might not be too worth while, a good quality one can go far.

Personally, i would swap case and PSU, both is quite a choker for such a good PC config for a prebuilt. Itll be a pain for RMA situation, but its worthwhile for better airflow and reliability. But after that, except a GPU upgrade when nvidia 4000 series come out or something, its solid.

Thank you all for the info! What wattage should I be looking into for a PSU?

The same wattage should be fine, with 650 if you feeling like you want to overclock the PC.

You could upgrade your wifi receiver. I am using a Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 USB wifi adapter, and it is like the Rolls Royce of Wifi adapters. Does beamforming, and combines multiple channels or however they describe it. Works great two floors up from my Wifi router. I recommend it.

Also, you could look into getting a good Wifi Access Point, connect it to your current modem / router. I am using a Ubiquiti Unifi AP AC PRO, and it is one of the best you can get. It is really made for business use, but it beats any of those "for home" ones!

Neither of these recommendations are cheap, but worth it if you must rely on wifi!

Other than this, your PC is fine. The only worthwhile upgrade would be the GPU. You could replace it with something like a RTX 3080 or 3070. But be warned: GPU's are way overpriced at the moment. So if you could hold off another 6 months or so, I would!

Good luck!
