Samsung T7 Touch in trouble

edkozuto

So, I kept seeing this ssd disconnecting several times while I was working in DaVinci, and then I started searching.

I've updated T7's ASMedia controller to the latest version (that's what some /r/u recommended), and it stopped disconnecting, BUT.
The speed went down, and the ssd is no longer recognized in Samsung software.

I then realized that firmware update has ruined the Vendor ID and Product ID, and now I need to restore the original values in order to bring the speed and the Touch ID back.

So, if anyone has a T7 Touch in their possession, please share its VID and PID.

Link to the firmware (if anyone gets interested)

Actually, I can't because the warranty was void right when I flashed the firmware.

If you have performed the firmware update via Samsung software, then the warranty is valid !!! I know this because I have several T5 / T7 SSDs in use. If it is a T3, T5 or X5, Samsung has a notification about the firmware. https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/support/consumer-notice/

No, the update was not from Samsung, but from the controller manufacturer.
