Does anyone know why my skullcandy crusher evos hiss when plugged into 3.5mm jack or I set a sound profile in the app

Super common issue with these headphones. They don't do well when plugged in. The headphones have generally good reviews besides this specific aspect. 

 

When dealing with audio, generally a hissing noise can indicate an improper connection.

OK thanks I am using a super cheap splitter with holes in so that would probably explain the problem

Unfortunately I think that you will have this issue no matter what with these headphones.

There’s an old factoid about skullcandy.  It is or at least was a paper company.  Skull candy was an office, a marketing department, a logo, a bunch of phone lines, and not much else.  They don’t actually make anything and they at least used to not even do any engineering either. (No info about recently) Skull candy would order preproduced predesigned products from no brand recognition Chinese companies, slap their branding on them, and sell them as if they were the producers when they weren’t.
