Looking for soft gaming mouse pads - like the softest

Middcore

I am currently using a Maingear Assist XL I picked up at Micro Center and I've always loved how soft the surface is. It just feels nice even to rest your hand or arm on. Unfortunately, mine has gotten rather beat up (one of my cats likes to jump on my desk and make little claw-picks), and I am also thinking I'd like to switch to a smaller, conventional mouse pad instead of the larger mat. Maingear makes a smaller mousepad called the Assist but the material is totally different - it's cheap nasty slick stuff. So I'm looking for a new mousepad with a comparably luxurious yet still highly accurate surface.

Other mouse pads I've used in memory are the Razer Vespula V2, which was OK on the soft side but maybe not as plush as I'd like, the SteelSeries QCK which was just kind of "eh" feel wise, and the Cooler Master MP510, which was weirdly rough almost like denim - could see some people liking it but it didn't do anything for me.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Theres one simple word that comes to mind.....

Unfortunately though, their deskpads are out of stock, but I love the ltt deskpads. I do prefer the deskpad's though as then your keyboard and mouse are level and no chance of hitting the edge of the pad, and theyre so soft and great quality with a sort of farbic feel to them.

I do have a Steel Series QcK+ but like you I find the surface feels 'meh'; its one of these https://steelseries.com/gaming-mousepads/qck-plus-limited-howl

I do have a Razer Goliathus Speed, which is fairly 'soft' as you describe it which is decent to use, it feels nicer than the QcK+

But I have to say also having a Razer Goliathus Control, which was my 'daily driver' until I got my LTT deskpad, its my top pick for a mouse pad: https://www2.razer.com/au-en/gaming-mouse-mats/razer-goliathus-control

It doesnt have a 'soft' touch, but its fabric so feels a bit like tweed to rest your hand on, but the precision of it over all of the soft pads I find personally unbeatable.

LTT mat is, well, a mat and while I understand your POV I've already decided I don't want something that big.

I also just want as plain black a surface as possible, which rules out even nice designs like the LTT mat, and certainly rules out any of the hideous Goliathus varieties.

"Tweed" would be another good description of the CM MP510. Rough. Don't like it. Seems like it would hold up well but not pleasant to touch.
