i5 10600kf vs Ryzen 5 3600 for new build

I found each chip for $200 before taxes.

As for motherboards I would go with a MSI B550-APRO ($130) for the ryzen, and a ASRock Z490 Phantom Gaming ($155) for the i5.

I think the i5 doesn't come with a cooler, but even if it did I'm not sure how much I could overclock it with the Stock Cooler.

Would the additional price for the i5+MB+cooler be worth it for the overclocked performance gains?

I am going to run it with either a rtx2070 or rtx3060 on a 3440x1440 100hz monitor.

Thanks!

10600KF is better, I recommend the Arctic Freezer 34 eSports Duo for the cooler. 3600 is a better value, though. If you can find an 11400F it would be faster than the 3600 and slightly cheaper. It comes with a stock cooler, which is enough for the 11400F, but it can get loud so if you care about noise buy another cooler.

If you are going with the i5 then get a better motherboard. The ASRock Z490 Phantom Gaming 4 is terrible. An MSI Z490-A PRO or Asus Prime Z490-P are both much better if going entry level.
