Solid color screen

So i got an laptop 1   1/2  years ago in around December and now whenever I boot it up it crashes to a random solid color i can't do anything but turn it off could anyone help me with this?

does it happen immediately after turning it on or do you see a logo/post screen and just when it loads windows it has problems?

If it happens immediately it could be any number of things, maybe GPU failure, maybe bad RAM, etc.

If it's just when you load windows try booting safe mode (if you interrupt the windows boot enough it will let you choose to boot safe mode)

It happens as soon as I turn it on it's fine until i put on the password

wait, so it is only a solid colour until windows loads?
or is it the other way around? (it works until you log in to windows?)

Exactly it works just well just until i log in

Once I log in it goes well for about 3 seconds then a solid color screen

Are you running anything that applies overclocks?
ex:
MSI Afterburner
Intel XTU
Throttlestop
etc.

I can't access stuff whenever i log in our on my password and it loads for like 3 seconds and then the solid screen

try booting into safe mode and uninstalling it.

If you can get to the login screen press the power button in the corner and hold shift and click restart, it should give you an option from there.

It dosent seen to give me an option but aorus has a safe restart option removing all my files should I do that?

In that blue menu from the restart button you have to go to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings

That will boot you into safe mode.

I believe the Aorus thing is for failed CPU/Mem overclocks to boot the last stable state.

Glad I can help.

I wouldn't leave Afterburner's apply on boot option checked unless you know an OC is stable.

Yeah I don't know how to do that so im going to either research or don't do it at all
