Custom keyboard rgb.

Hello!

I recently built my first custom mechanical keyboard.

I wad wondering if there was any way to customize the rbg without qmk, as I don't know how to code and I don't need to do anything to the board other than customize the rgb.

The board is a bm60rgb.

Any advice would help greatly.

VIA is basically a GUI and on-the-fly remapping version of QMK. Try that.

I tried via already but my board wasn't on the support list and it wouldn't detect

ViA will only detect keyboards that have been flashed with the VIA firmware, but if it's not on the list then there isn't one available to flash.

You can use the QMK configurator to build a firmware without any programming knowledge. https://config.qmk.fm/#/bm60rgb/LAYOUT_60_iso_arrow

On the "Keyboard Settings" Tab there's a bunch of keys to control RGB and backlighting which you can use to add to a layer. You'll be limited to the canned effects though.
