Hi

Here in deepest darkest (South) Africa Fibre internet is still new to most of us, so when our area went live I jumped on the first wagon that came past.

I started out with a 25/25 line, then got a free upgrade to 50/50 and I've been using this for a while.

Then yesterday I saw that for an extra 40 Rand (about $3 US) per month I could get 100/10, so I though "no brainer, right?"

My question is... Was this the right thing to do... We are a family of 3 adults and 1 kid in the house, we stream nearly everything we watch from the lounge PC (mostly 1080p)... Kid is on Youtube (mostly 480p) nearly all the time at night, and I game upstairs on my PC (I don't stream, but occasionally share my screen on Discord, cos I suck really bad at everything)

Is the 100/10 still OK for online gaming with everything else going on, or were we actually better off with the 50/50 ?

You can check your usage, which will shed light on your question.

But nutshell is that upload speeds rarely matter. You'll know if you need them.

The 100/10 is a better idea. From your description of your household activities there is not much if any uploading going on and for the once in a while you share your screen in Discord 10 up is perfectly acceptable.

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.
