I think it's going to be fine. I edit my videos using an i5 6200U, so, if you increase RAM and put an SSD, you'll be in an even better position. I even edited using 8 gigs of RAM and an HDD before upgrading to an SSD. It was fine for my purpose with the hardware.

What capacity are you looking for?

What's your budget?

Check this thread:

I am getting pretty fucking sick and tired of the "watch something else" responses. It's such a cop out answer because you could say that about basically anything, and it doesn't address the actual complaints. People use it as some kind of card they pull when they can't actually respond to the criticism raised but they still feel like they need to defend some company/person. If you don't like this thread then stop reading it. See how stupid it is? It's basically like telling someone "shut the fuck up". It's not a clever responsive, it doesn't address anything said, and it is rude.

Just get another 8 gigs of matching RAM, and an SSD, preferably of 500 gigs, so that you can have your OS on it, as well as put video files while you can edit them. I don't know how large they will get. Something like a Crucial mx500 should do just fine, without breaking the bank.

yeah ok but i have an external hdd too so i will probably get a 256gb something like maybe a 840 or a 860 evo. to be honest 1 video will probable be of about 1 to 2 gigs so i think i should be fine

WD Blue, 860 Evo, MX500, 840 Evo 870 Evo, whatever you find cheapest on the day of purchase, go for that. They're all equally good. Samsung is generally a bit too pricey.
