My old PC is getting a bit slow and I am looking to build a new one.

This is my first time building a PC so I am looking for some help picking the right parts.

Budget (including currency): Around 12.000 DKK (1500-2000 USD).

Country: Denmark

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Ghost recon, CSGO, FH4, GTA and games like that. For school I will use photoshop, lightroom and premiere pro

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I received an offer from a company which would cost me 12.000 DKK (approx. 1900 USD):

Asus TUF Z390-Plus Gaming

Core i7 9700K 3

G. Skill DDR4 16Gb PC3200

512 GB SSD

Antec PSU Gold EC 850W

RTX 3070

Case suggestions are welcome:)

I am planning on buying a new monitor and use my old one as secondary.

Thanks in advance for any help:)

Well done on the graphics card.

The rest looks solid enough, depending on what resolution/refresh rate you're going to play at.

Can I realistically call myself a gamer, if I only play ONE, twenty year old game...?

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!

the problem is that you can't buy a gpu due to the shrotage so if you have a gpu already, stick with that, otherwise you might wanna stay with Intergrated Graphics until you can get a gpu or just wait altogether, what do you think?

Make sure to quote me if you want me to respond
Thanks :)

Ahh... I thought you had the 3070 "in hand" as we say in the UK.

None of the retailers listed on https://dk.pcpartpicker.com are listing either the 9700K or the TUF Z390-Plus Gaming, so it sounds like this machine is being put together from 'spare parts'.

That said, odd that they "just happen to have" a 3070... but not any other newer kit.

My recommendation...?  "Buyer beware"

EDIT:

If that's how the quotation was worded, there's too few exact details to be confident; ask them for guaranteed make and model on ALL parts, if they can't do that - walk away.

op what is the price of the rtx 3070 in here?
I recommend you avoid, especially for founders edition to buy it at least way above msrp.

i’d change the cpu to something with hyper threading, because that cpu has the same amount of threads as an i3. it would help performance significantly if you got something with at least 12 threads like an 11600k.

Gaming PC:

CPU- Intel Core i5-10400 (planning to upgrade when Alder Lake releases)

CPU Cooler- be quiet! Dark Rock Slim up to 180W TDP

Motherboard- Asus ROG Strix B460-h Gaming

Memory- Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4-3000 CL15 memory

Storage- Crucial P2 1TB M.2-NVME SSD up to 2400 MB/s

Video Card- MSI Ventus 2x Geforce RTX 3060 Ti OC

PC Chassis- Cooler Master TD500 MESH ARGB with Controller

Power Supply- EVGA 650w P2 (planning to upgrade to EVGA 80+ Gold 1k watts)

Rear Fan- Touchaqua Bitspower Notos RGB fan

Monitor- Acer EI272UR 2560x1440 144hz 4ms Radeon Freesync monitor

Keyboard- Logitech G810 Orion Spectrum

Mouse- Logitech G203 Lightsync (planning to upgrade to g502 HERO)

Controller- Xbox One Wireless Controller - Red

LaptopProcessor- Ryzen 7 4700U (8c/8t up to 4.1Ghz) with Radeon graphics, 16GB DDR4-3200 memory, 512 NVME SSD

Yeah, i'm aware of the shortage and I think i'm going to wait until they become available again. My current GPU is a 970, so it would be nice with an upgrade;)

I don't have opportunity to buy a 3070 at this moment, but I think I am going to wait until they become available again.

So i don't think I am going to use your build, but thanks anyway:)

If you have a suggestion for a build with the 3070 though, i would appreciate it very much:)
