hello I found a 5600x for 313 euro on a website that's 100% reliable and I found a 3700x on a website for 277 euro and i want either one but I don't know if I should spend the extra 40 to get a 5600x or not especially because the 3700x has an rgb cooler which adds a nice look to the pc with RGB PRO ram my needs for a pc is to game and light work and maybe some video editing

I would personally go with the 5600x. The 2 extra cores don't justify going with an older architecture, especially if this is mainly for gaming and light work.

i looked up a YouTube video comparing them both and the 3700x and more stable frame pace in many games than the 5600x I feel like the extra 2 cores and 4 threads will do me good especially because soon games will need to use more cores and threads

The 5600x is more futureproof than the 3700x. and youtube benchmarks are bs for the most part

Big nerd.

I've seen many videos and bechmarks showing the 5600x outperforming the 3700x in gaming and one video of the 3700x performing better. Either would be fine but I'm fairly sure the 5600x will give you a better experience.

5600x will be better for gaming and very similar to 3700x in editing.
