Can my power supply handle a 2070 Super?

-Overkill-

Hey guys, so my friends plans on giving me their RTX 2070 Super when they upgrade their gpu. With my current set up of a Ryzen 5 3400G, ASrock A320M-HDV R4.0, 2 sticks of 8gb ram (so 16gb total), and an RX 570 4gb, could I upgrade my gpu to the 2070 Super safely with only the 600W power supply i have?

WHICH "600W" power supply?

Can you give us the brand / make / model?

Just giving us the advertised wattage rating gives us no useful info at all.

Yes, 600W is enough for RTX 2070 super but make sure it has 80 plus certification. If your psu is not 80 plus certified, Corsair rm650x is great choice. Also I suggest upgrading your motherboard. It might be able to handle it but upgrading to b450 will be a good idea.

80 plus means literally NOTHING. There are plenty of absolute garbage 80 plus certified psu's (yes even platinum ones) because all 80 plus does is can it hold x efficiency at x load for x time. It only has to last for the test and that is it. Plenty other things can be wrong that isn't caught or the fact that a psu just horribly dies after doing such a test.

That could be a case, but that is not something you see everyday, do you? Also, having at least a psu from a company like corsair is lot better than having a cheaper one that could cost you your precious components.

It doesn't matter the brand, even the big names like Corsiar / SeaSonic, EVGA, Antec has had their share of not-so-safe PSUs.
