Different clockspeed ram coompatiblity.

Hey, I have a HP 15s- eq0132au it has 8gb 2400mhz ram. I am going to upgrade the ram but in manual i saw something like DDR4 3200mhz bridge to 2666, DDR4 2666mhz downgrade to 2400. I understood 2666 downgrade to 2400mhz but what is 3200 bridge to 2666?

The standard is 2400mhz memory.

You can install up to 3200mhz memory, it will default to 2667mhz or may not post at all.

Best thing to do is open cpu-z and hit the SPD tab and write down the part number so you can get an identical stick. This will give you the least amount of issues for your upgrade.
