Weird question about my cpu

It’s been 6months since the last time I turned on my computer. Is it required to replace the thermal paste on my cpu before turning it back on?

Uhhh... No. Not unless you want to, at least. Thermal paste can remain effective for years on end, and when it starts becoming less effective, it's thermal performance doesn't drop off all of a sudden, overnight.

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

Yeah...maybe if the thermal paste was already really old...then maybe?  Thermal paste doesn't go bad quickly just because it sits for a while.  New thermal paste can last for years in normal conditions.  If it's in an environment bad enough to affect it, you're going to have worse problems than the need to replace thermal paste.
