Best OTC allergy medication?

trama09

Well pollen season has started what I live. With that, I am now sneezing every minute I am awake. My pollen allergies are very severe. Severe enough to where I shouldve seen the doctors years ago. But I am lazy.

I was curious to see what over the counter medication you guys use. I have used Claritin, zyrtec, and benadryl. The first two works alright, and benedryl knocks me out instantly. So needless to say, I'd like to try something where I can still be productive with my day.

Damn. The last bit destroyed my answer. I was gonna say something that passes you out like weed or morphine.

You can just mix loratadine and cetirizine

IIRC cetirizine isn't a antihistamine. Buy them generic, there's no point in paying a markup for the same drug.

I suffer from allergies.

Yeah a lot of antihistamines will have a sedating affect, some have quite a long half life though, so taking them at night might see you through most of the next day.

Both of those can be sedating, depends on the person though.

Morphine will certainly help you forget about the allergies , but one of the early withdrawal side effects is a runny nose, probably not a good thing for someone with hay fever.

Allegra works for me

The increasingly heavy pollen buildups don't help, especially here in virginia.
