@SecretduckyAs a last ditch effort, if you haven't already try different video cables and different ports.

I would also try the GPU in another computer… i know it looks like dead memory, but still something about this all is a bit odd, Id definitely want to know before sending a possibly working RTX 3070 back, personally .

Just got my cyberpower custom build today, i9-11900kf, 32gb ballistics 3000mz ram, aorus 3070, thermaltake 750w 80+ gold

and in bios its just a artifacting mess, gouz shows memory size, memory clock, and gpu clock all at 0, nvidis control panel will not open, and sait that it wasn't connected to a nvivda gpu(it is), is the gpu dead? Been trying to troubleshoot for 4 hours now. Bios update, driver updates, boot in safe mode, nothing works. Ill attach some photos of gpuz and my bios screen

If you're seeing lines/graphical issues in the BIOS as well, then the graphics card is defective (most likely related to VRAM).

that hurts...

Just calling it how I see it. It does suck. I was so scared of getting a defective card when my 3060 came in last week.

Crazy to me, how can this pass a quality control? I paid for overclocking too, like you would think someone saw that bios screen, or that the gpu has 0 memory, idk still so pissed about the whole thing

Things happen. Possible it could have happened in shipping.

Tbf you bought a prebuilt those are typically shipped "pre built" and that isnt something PC parts are designed for at all, so there is a big, inherent risk in doing so.

You are a brave man or woman.

My advice is RMA the whole PC if possible , and dont let them overclock anything because who knows what they're doing.

I got prebuilt becuase its one of the only reliable ways to get a gpu, would love to build my own but cant justify 1200 for a gpu, my reason for bringing up overclocking, which was only 10% but still oc, was that someone would have had to go into bios, and if they had they would have seen the artifacting, iv calmed down a bit since posting this and understand that it would possibly be from shipping. Also would rather not rma whole pc, just gpu, but if i have to i have to 🤷‍♂️

Ok, actually it would be probably better to just exchange the GPU, that way if the new GPU doesnt work properly either you would kinda know its the motherboard most likely. Either way is not ideal but i see why that would be preferable.

Did you try the PC without the GPU, does it work normally? It has an iGPU, right?

It's a KF. It won't have iGPU.

@SecretduckyAs a last ditch effort, if you haven't already try different video cables and different ports.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.
