So I'm currently in the market for a good 100$ headset, I want good audio and a decent mic, and to be able to use it on my pc and ps4.

Currently I have my eyes on either a Logitech G Pro X or a Razer Blackshark V2

(I play alot of shooters, some story based games here and there but mainly shooters)

I've had bad luck with Logitech headsets (and Corsair lol) as I hate the software for both. Logitech's only work for some things when you manually apply the default Windows "USB Audio Device" driver for it and it's just generally lame (other than the swappable batteries which is nice). If you're talking about the wired G Pro X then you'll likely not see a lot of these issues and can plug the headset directly into your controller for the PS4 with the right adapter(s) to bypass any issues there too. From what I understand the G Pro line tends to be a lot better than their mid-range products so ymmv. Having said all that I've heard nothing but good things about the Blackshark V2 and would likely be the only product I'd get from Razer besides their super cheap Basilisk X Hyperspeed mice (exclusively because of the price as there's nothing else with those specs and that speed adapter in wireless mice in that price category that I've seen) as I absolutely hate the look of their stuff and hate their software (even more than Logitech G Hub). Those 2 you're looking at are likely as good as it gets without getting into the $150-200 range where the good stuff is and if I had to pick I'd likely get the Blackshark just because of the reviews and try to cope with the software.

I heard mixed opinions on both, the only appealing thing in the Logitech to me is it looks sleek+the cable is removable, and that the metal rails in the razer seem to break for alot of people apparently.

Mic seems better on the Logitech especially with the different EQs

Logitech G Pro's are super comfortable imo, and look enough like normal headphones that no one would comment on them if you wore them in a zoom meeting for work or school. Mic is also pretty good

No opinion on blacksharks, they have really good reviews but I despise razer (and the basilisk x hyperspeed, it has dodgy bluetooth connection and the battery cover stuck to my hand and would come off when i took my hand off of that mouse)

Also worth looking into HyperX Cloud II/Cloud Alpha. If you don't use 7.1 surround or have an app for it then the Alpha's are better, if you need 7.1 then look at the II's

Depends what FPS games

Games like CS:GO actually disable 7.1 Surround Sound because it has its own baked in (and arguably better) sound processing system.

Overwatch has built in 7.1 surround

Call of duty is probably the game that I associate with the most for benefiting from 7.1 as it doesnt have much verticality which I have found to be 7.1's biggest issue

My personal recommendation above anything from HyperX, Logitech, Razer, Etc, Would be Phillips SHP9500 with a cable with a built in Microphone. It will have far better audio quality (mic quality will suffer) but are open backs, meaning that if you have people living with you who are near you when you game they will hear everything.

If you need isolation and 7.1, get which ever is cheaper, the HyperX Cloud II's or the G Pro X.

If you Need isolation but dont need 7.1, HyperX Cloud Alpha.

If you do not need isolation or 7.1, Phillips SHP9500 with like a V-Moda boom mic.

In that case get whatever is cheaper, Cloud II or G pro X.

Right now that is the Cloud II, at least in the US.

So I narrowed down my search, currently though after extensive search, I am confused between Razer Blackshark V2 X, Logitech g pro X and Philips SHP9500 with V-Moda boom pro.

Again I play fps games, mainly warzone, apex, valorant and escape from tarkov, also play horror games like alien isolation and story games like horizon zero dawn. I play on pc and ps4

I might be be able to buy a sennheiser pc38x but it will take time to have enough money, so I want something to get me by but still decent till I get a pc38x with an ampdac

Don't even look at razer's headphones. They are complete garbage. Anyone can argue but it is the truth. Logitechs are mediocre at best and the SHP 9500's are probably the best you can get at the price since they are open back. Either those or the MH752's
