the mounting system for sWRX8 is identical to TR4, sTRX4, and SP3, so noctua's TR4-SP3 coolers are a go, and a custom loop originally for normal threadripper might be possible

It's identical to the options already out there for threadripper. One just needs to make sure the rotation does not effect the case it's being installed in.

The only cooler that would run into problems is the Ice Giant unless building bench style/horizontal.

It'd be better to discuss what you're looking to do to get some specific answers.

I plan on building a editing rig for a friend who produces short films.
And as I couldn't find the info on coolers (water or air) I thought it was better too ask than to buy parts

that maybe didn't fit or wrok correctly.

Ok, so if it's for someone else, then you definitely should NOT go custom loop. If something goes wrong, you don't want to have to be tech support for it.

I would go for the Noctua U14S or the Cooler Master ML360 TR4. I've used both and bother were reliable.
