Hey everybody!

My sister got married last weekend and I completely forgot that back at the end of 2019 her fiancé (now husband), got me a GPU as a bachelor gift. I've been drowning in school work and I completely forgot about my PC build that he started me on. He got me an EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 Super Ultra XC in black and it's still in the box. He asked me about my build at the wedding and I told him I haven't been able to get the rest due to school work and losing my job. He said that there's a shortage of GPUs and stuff, and I could potentially sell it and put the money aside for when the shortage ends and the prices go back down and I could get something better since this is two years old.

I've been trying to figure what a good price is and where to sell it. I heard eBay is risky because they can say it's broken or something. I tried NewEgg, but the signup was confusing and kept asking me for my company and website. Amazon is $35 a month to sign up to be a seller, and I'm only selling one thing so. But I checked the price on there and they're selling for $1,500???? Idk he said he spent like $500 on it. I also saw it was discontinued will that hurt me? I also opened it and looked at it then put it back idk if that makes it used or still new or what.

I don't really know much about builds and stuff, but idk how much longer this shortage will be. I'm in no hurry to build it, as I bought the M1 MacBook Pro last Fall.

So I guess my question is where should I sell it, how much should I sell it for, and do I put new or used?

Just sell it on eBay. If they say it's broken they have to send it back.

It's not new, since you've opened it, so it's considered Open Box.

I saw people saying that eBay took the money out of their account to pay the buyer back, and eBay also told them they didn't have to send it back

Then sell it locally.

Look for things to show its used such as scratches and other things but if not list it as new

Close

Open box would be the right one as a buyer could potentially refund it if they see it has already been opened.

Big nerd.
