3440x1440p monitor with laptop?

Tandy

Hello guys,

I have been considering buying 3440x1440p monitor (Xiaomi ultrawide curved 34).
My question is will I be able to use this monitor on 60hz with my laptop (Asus Vivobook S15 S510U) via HDMI port (only one available)?
Laptop specs:

CPU - Intel i7-8550U

IGPU - Intel® UHD Graphics 620
GPU - Nvidia MX150 2GB

RAM - 8GB DDR4

I checked the manual, but it didn't specify what hdmi version is used.

I believe you would need HDMI 2.0 or later to drive an ultrawide 1440p at 60hz. [hdmi 1.4b may do it as well]

Either way, it's likely the laptop is using an hdmi 2.0 port or newer.
