I bought a used pc 1-2 weeks ago and ive played rainbow six seige gta 4 and gta 5 on it and on rainbow im running 80-120 fps 1080x1920 on both low and ultra settings with vsync off and ive tried the vulkan version but it gets even worse

ive also played gta and on medium settings im running 80-90 fps and in online im running 40-55 fps barely going to 60's and ive also overclocked the gpu to  170 core clock and 390 memory clock and theres not that much of a difference ive tried solo sessions also since ive heard it increases fps but it stays the same my temps are not going above 45 on games but thats when i overclocked, before the overclock i was idle at 60 and playing games stuck at 60 and not going up one bit

specs:

1060 3gb

ryzen 3 1200

corsair lpx ddr4 ram 24gb (8x3) 2400mhz

1tb hdd

250gb ssd

AB350M-gaming 3-cf

nzxt s340

3 fans

Dont know power supply

I kept going down to 50fps on r6 both low and ultra so i capped it at 120 now since the fps barely wants to go up and now it doesnt go below 80

im wondering if this is a problem or its just normal for my specs

im going to upgrade to a ryzen 5 3600 in the summer

all up to date drivers and the rest i dont know im not really into this pc stuff but i do want to sort out this r6 issue because when i uncap the fps it just drops down to 50-100 low and ultra and ive heard r6 is quite an easy game to run

it it because its used?

I do hear grinding noises in the case sometimes and i searched it up and its to due w my ssd but when i checked everything it said everythings healthy

Please review the first recommendation in my signature and keep it in mind for the future.

Have you looked up benchmarks or videos comparing the performance of these games with similar specs and settings to yours?

Your SSD cannot be the source of the grinding noise, because your SSD has no moving parts.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

I've seen people play the same games with the same exact specs and with way higher settings then me and achive more fps or the same but most of these benchmarks are 1-2 years old
