Good day!

I built my pc around a month ago and have been using it seriously today to install drivers.

I checked up on my hardware temps and saw one core on my 5800x is abnormally high compared to the others.

Would you say this is a bug of OpenHardwareInfo? Should I reapply thermal compound? Any other monitoring programs you know to isolate the variable?

All the best and thank you,

Alex

I would fire up another piece of temp monitoring software to see if it replicates what you're seeing on hardware monitor, and if it does, then have a close look at your mount and make sure it's even and secure.

It may be that one side or corner of your mount isn't secured.

Otherwise, yes, I would take off your cpu cooler, clean your cpu and heatsink, and remount.
