I need a new cpu

That's a socket M chip, and that socket is 15yrs old.

I would highly recommend against updating and if you can scratch up enough for a budget system, get yourself one of those.

 

With the amount of time and money you would spend to update the CPU, it just wouldn't be worth it imo.

 

However, if you're dead set on the idea, the best cpu for that socket appears to be the Core 2 Duo T7600

thanks I'm already have a good rig it's a hackintosh but this is my first laptop and I want to put some life back into it
