but i have no backplate at all so do you maybe know how i can make one from scratch? or can i just paint the top of my gpu with spraypaint

From the way you explained it in your original post I was left with the impression that you already have a backplate. Anyway, the easiest thing to do is just buying a backplate that is for your specific graphics card. A quick google search suggests that these guys make one that should fit your card - https://www.coldzero.eu/asus-rx-580-dual-gpu-backplates/ . Making a backplate yourself out of aluminum or stainless steel from scratch is also an option, but considering that you were thinking of making one out of paper, I doubt that you will have the necessary tools and expertise to make one yourself.

PCBs are quite good at dissipating heat. Not as good as an actual heatsink, but they tend to a decent job. Spraying or plastidipping the PCB directly is not a great option, as once again it will act as an insulator. So I can't really recommend doing this.

Hi i had a question about my gpu backplate and how to handle it.

is it a bad thing if my fingers touch the pcb and the little dots on it.

i have an asus radeon rx 580 and i find the backplate looking a bit ugly in my pc so can i just tape a piece of black paper ont there or something?

or is there a more profesional way to make it look better.

To start with, touching the bare PCB is fine. Just make sure you handle it with care. Don't go manhandling the thing to the point that components start falling off. If you are gentle it should be fine.

Regarding the black piece of paper on the backplate, that really is not a good idea. Backplates are usually intended to dissipate heat. When you put a piece of paper on it it will act as an insulator. Not only that but paper next to components that get hot is a potential fire hazard. The best way to making the backplate look better is to paint it. You can go primer + paint + clear coat. They also sell these "bumper paints" which don't require primer or clear coat and will give a nice matte black finish. Plastidipping is also fine. needless to say if you decide to go with either of these options the backplate will need to be off the card.
