Yeah 212 should be good enough or Gammax 400.

I would suggest a new cooler, something like a hyper 212 or as SupaKomputa suggested, a Gammaxx 400.

I have a Gammaxx 400 and prefer it over my old hyper 212, it's quieter and shorter so it'll fit in more cases.
If you do decide to go for a 212, check your case size since it is quite tall

Hi so i have a i5 10400 and a asus tuf 3060 that i mine with while im not using the computer to recoup some of the costs my cpus idle temps are not very likeable at 45-52c i have the cooler master i71c cooler so i was wondering should i go air cooler or an aio since it will be running 24/7 i dont really care about noise and i have a budget of about 90$ CAD thanks very much

This thing barely goes better than stock cooler, but oh well. No use crying over spilled milk.

 

At around 36$ rn you can get yourself a 212 Evo LED by Cooler Master or Gammaxx 400 by Deepcool, which is more than adequate to cool a 10400. But if you want something you can bring to your next PC, you can get yourself an NH-U12S from noctua or Scythe Mugen 5 at around 89$.
