Hey,

 

first off all i hope this is on the wright forum, and that someone can actually help me.

 

i'm looking for one or more options to dectect camera's micro's and speakers.

 

to make a long story short:

i know someone who's being stalked by her ex

i've already done a visual sweep in her house and found 7 hidden camera's

but not sure there's more or not so i want to scan for something.

 

already going to build her a firewall turn off her wifi from modem, and put in a new wifi access point and switch to make sure all is controlled.

not sure how the laws work in your country, but why not contact the authorities??

If the devices are connected to her wireless network that would work. Sadly getting around that is extremely easy, finding GSM and other type of wireless connections will be a major pain in the ass. Just in case anyone sees this in the future, if you ever find a hidden camera or microphone just call the cops and let them file the paperwork. I would still involve cops in this case as any paperwork filled by them can be used in courts, not to mention they should have criminal investigation in any case of hidden cameras.

she did, but cops don't take it serious, i hope now with what i've found they will take action, but i'm just want to be sure she's safe

ex is kicked out of the house so that issue is solved

found two phones to, we don't know who's the were, did take the battery and sim out

unplugged all devices so anything that's currently working on power is down

I mean IOT devices connected to cell network. Phones are obvious devices but finding biscuit sized devices that are hidden in somewhere wont be that easy. Call the cops and if they dont take it seriously file a complaint. Invasion of personal privacy is not a matter that can be dismissed.

The guy probably used it as a WAP for the cams.

anyway umm the best thing is try to find all the cameras

i fully agree with you on that, but they seem not to be to keen on doing anything, need to follow up what happend today

No idea if they work, but I've heard of devices like this

I think they are just some IR LEDs that somehow interact with digital camera sensors, making the cameras "glow" when exposed to the device.

Wireless/cell phone/mobile scramblers also exist, but that doesn't seem practical and also probably illegal.
