It's the PSU. If you search online there are numerous reports that that PSU crashes hard when loaded. You have a pretty good system, otherwise, but then you decided to power it with the most bottom of the barrel, cheap, worthless PSU. If anything, the PSU is probably the most important component in your system, as literally everything else depends on clean, reliable, and stable power delivery.

Hey guys... After about a year of watching LTT and FINALLY having a custom built PC, I decided to run Cinebench R23 to see what my PC score is... but it crashes my system EVERYTIME. No bluescreen - just freezing of the App and my OS. Can someone provide some advice? Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong? Specs can be provided if needed.

Provide specs whenever posting something in Troubleshooting. Take a look at temperatures via HWINFO (sensors only) along with XMP on your ram. Could be a bad RAM kit or an uneven amount of pressure towards the CPU cooler.

Crashes happen generally because of CPU or RAM instability. I'm assuming you haven't applied any overclocking to the CPU yet if you can't even get through a Cinebench run as it is, but it could be bad RAM, a bad motherboard, or bad PSU. When I say bad, I'm not necessarily just talking about factory defects either, there's products in all these lines that are just crap. In any case, we need the specs (including the actual product info, i.e. brand, model, clocks and timings of the RAM, etc.) to help you.

Does anyone have any other ideas about my problem. I don't know a lot about how to measure/find the issues as mentioned by @Chris Pratt and @iCypticx

What DIMM slot is your ram in?

it could be due to cpu and memory, Ryzen thrive off good memory. Single channel Ram might cause some issues. Id fully recommend duel channel Ram.

Cinebench isn't affected much, if at all by your RAM aside from it being stable period.
Cinebench uses the CPU to render the image as it runs. As long as your CPU temps are good while it's running (Under load) it's fine and typically it takes a bit more CPU voltage to stabilize a system having problems with it.
However that in turn can lead to overheating issues and I did note the OP is running stock everything with their cooling.

Even at stock Cinebench can make a CPU get warm - Hopefully not too warm in this case.

Will check it again hopefully my Windows Task Manager is updated to have that feature. PC was 'Custom Built' but built by professionals from my purchased items and checked for compatibility. I hope they have it in the correct A2/B2 slots as I have 2 cards, but I will double check to be sure.

You could try telling the program to running it Compatibility Mode. It may or may not work, but in my case, has for programs that do this.

Can I ask how do I run a Windows Store app in compatibility mode?

Forget about the Windows store. Download the installer directly.

https://www.maxon.net/en/downloads/cinebench-r23-downloads/

From there, after it is installed, right click the icon and click properties. From there, there is a setting for "compatibility mode". I usually set it to Windows 8 because it's still supported for most programs. This may help your problem, but I don't guarantee it. I use it with a few beta programs that act up.

LEGEND! Thank you so much. This is going to make a lot more sense, as I was not aware of the non-WinStore option :P

have you solved your problem?

if you still want to know if your RAM is in Dual channel mode. DOwnload CPU-Z

look at my picture.

Furthermore DRAM Frequency always multiply by 2 to know what your Ram speed is.

Thanks for that. I have to admit, the PSU would not have crossed my mind
