Hello,

recently I bought the EK-Quantum Power Kit D-RGB P360. I flushed the included radiator (EK-CoolStream PE 360) with tap water and afterwards with distilled water each a several times.

After I was finished and only clear water and no debris came out, I inspected the radiator before laying it down to dry.

Inside one of the flow channels there was a metal object which I carefully removed with a pair of tweezers.

After shaking the radiator some more, I removed a bit mor of the stuff and flushed it a couple more times.

Right now, this is all that came out.

Should I be worried there could be more inside? Should I return the kit and ask for a replacement because something inside the radiator could be broken?

Also, is the non-uniform coloring (copper and gray) inside normal or another cause for concern?

This is the very first custom loop I wanted to build, so I'm a bit nervous about damaging any of the components (new MoBo and CPU).

I appreciate your help, thank you.

Non-uniform coloring is quite normal, but I have never seen these metal shards before. I doubt that the insides are broken, but I may consider contacting the manufacturer to be on the safe side

@ela089 - that looks like solder but the amount (and size) is extremely unusual. Normal to get a bit of loose flux out on an initial flush but solder like what is shown in the pictures... nup! As @For Science! stated, I'd be reaching out to EK (or the shop you purchased it from) before continuing with that radiator. I'd be very surprised if what you have managed to extract is extent of what's loose inside that radiator.
