mic problem

whenever i record with fraps i can't hear myself and when i boost the mic, it adds a buzzing noise.

 

any solutions?

Do you have more then 1 mic? if so have you selected the right mic?

its a desktop pc but it detects 2 but the other one says its unplugged.

Hmmm i guess your mic works fine otherwise with other stuff right? (Like voice chat)
Se if you have an option to Enable Streaming in the Recording section on your sound driver/software (like Realtek Sound effect manager) some have that and if then not then im not sure, i did now a way but thast for win XP only you prettu much: Control panel-> Sounds and Audio devices-> Advance-> Options-> Properties-> selected your sound device/Mic-> Recording then enable Sterio Mix, might need to unmute it.

If this ain´t working then im not sure. hopefully someone more knowledgable can help then.

Doupt it. maybe if its cheap and like 10-15 years old then maybe, but otherwise i doupt it.
