My PC seems to be making my room a lot warmer than I would like. My CPU tends to get up to 72 degrees when under load. Currently I am using the stock AMD Wraith cooler on a Ryzen 3 3100. My main questions are: 1 How could I prevent my PC from heating up my room? and 2 Would bringing the temps down with a water cooler help my room stay cooler?

How do I cool my kitchen down while my oven is blasting...

1. You can't. Your PC emits heat under load. Get an AC, or get read to sweat it out.

2. No. No matter your cooling setup, you're still displacing the same amount of heat.

This is what I thought. We have central air but my in laws keep it at 78 degrees. When I check my room temp at night I usually see around 80-81.

Do you have a window you can open? I have a similar issue and usually just keep the door open and have a fan blow the warm air out of the room.

1. That's a really high temp for a 3100, even on the stock cooler. Checked your thermal paste lately, or are you overclocking?

2. No, a liquid cooler would not have any effect on the temperature of your room. Your best option would be to set the PC up so its exhaust is blowing right out a window, then setting up a fan in the window to pull that hot air out.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

Not overclocking, but will check the paste soon, maybe even now

Don't know if you saw my edit, but keep the door open and have a fan blow hot air out of the room.

This would work great, downside is I have two parakeets and the rest of the house finds them too loud so I have to keep the door closed all the time.

It won't do much of anything for your room temps, unfortunately, but it will help your PC out.

Even if you only partially open the door, it should help heat escape. Put a fan in the door too.

Not with our alarm system 😞

Can your alarm system deactivate zones? You could also just crank the living hell out of a ceiling fan, or set up a fan near your desk to create a bit of a wind chill effect.

If possible, have 1 small fan over your ac vent and another blowing hot air out of the room (through the crack of the partially opened door)

This should create airflow and cool down temps. Overhead fans work great too.

Don't know about the zones, will have to check that out. Will also make sure the ceiling fan is up all the way. Just recently obtained a Dyson fan for pretty cheap and this has helped with that wind chill effect.

72C is fine under load.

If you can get a large fan to blow directly on you that would help noticeably.

That would help if he can tolerate it...I do know it gives some people headaches over extended periods of time.

I think he needs a way to remove the heat, not just blow hot air on himself 😁

Also changed the direction that my fan spins to try to pull air up. In theory this should draw the cooler air from the floor up towards the ceiling

Hopefully you have hot air vents in the ceiling for the heat to escape somewhere.

all of our vents are ceiling, in my room there are two vents. While the AC is off wouldn't this allow the hot air to escape through there?

I think so, but I believe you'd get better results keeping the ac on and the door at least partially opened. I'd also have the ceiling fan blowing air downwards while ac is on. That way, cool air is forced down and hot air is forced out the door with a fan.

VSYNC.

That will limit how much games are demanding from your pc.
