Streaming pc build

 

I just got done building my water cooled gaming rig. Following specs

Ryzen 9 5950x 

amd radeon 6900xt 

4x8gb crucial ballistic 3600mhz

 

need to know if this rig below will work for streaming using obs 

ryzen 7 5800x

MSI GeForce Gtx 1060 OC

4x8 gskill aegis 3000mhz

Elgato 4k60 pro capture card

2 TB barracuda hard drive

240gb hyperx ssd

on a tomahawk b450 motherboard

any reason you want to avoid streaming from the same PC?

Read that to serious stream at 1080/60 it's a good idea to run a dual rig set up. And i have the money to do so thought the ease and quality would be a huge advantage

picture quality shouldnt differ too much unless you use AMD's encoder

you have a 5950x so you can just use software x264, unless if you have NVENC (nvidia gpu, preferably 1660 or better because NVENC Turing is better than NVENC before that, 3000 series share the same NVENC Turing, but 1650 uses NVENC Volta, which is slightly inferior)

you can only capture display and not by application though, i would hate the viewers to see what other softwares im running lol

but ya it's better in a sense that your game might run better

A 5950X is gonna easy be able to H264 encode and play games no problem so I don't think you need it.
