you could consider the 5600x it offers more performance than either the 10600k or the 3700x but if you can utilize 8 cores, than definetely get an 8 core cpu

my signiture was cool, but its a lie now

seems a bit odd to get an a520 with a 3700x, a520 is a pretty low end chipset

ya there barely is a gap between them if anything the 3600 would be a better buy

Also, look up benchmarks with your use case. If you're gaming, look up youtube videos comparing the two chips.

Hard disagree. The 3600X retails for around 300 rn, which is a horrendous value. At MSRP (250) it is still terrible. The 3600X is at most 4% faster than the 3600, so why?

Also do not use userbenchmark. Biased and very inaccurate.

geometry is hard
b550 > x570

If you can't get a 5000 series AMD processor, then you might as well get the biggest chip you can from Intel. Because 3000 series AMD chips are not faster than Intel equivalent from 8000 series and up.

No. @davemchad it right on the money with the very first reply to this thread. The 11400K is faster than a 3600X period. There's no secret silver lining, it's all in the numbers. Do some research.

So, I repeat myself. If you cannot get a 5600X go with the Intel.
