Does this look ok to everyone, my first ever PC build so a bit apprehensive. Probably about on budget +-£50.

Anything you would recommend?

Quick edits I prefer this motherboard and if its a gaming build an i5 will be fine also I saw no CPU cooler so I added the best budget one.

Hi BoopBop,

Overall it looks like a nice build, i would ask the same question as the above, what do you plan to do with the build primarily as that will allow us to best advise you, I would however say I think that your ram speed could be reduced, im not sure if you require that higher clocked ram, maybe lower to 1866, its what i run and for me the jump from 1333 -1866 was not hugely noticeable, i personally like the case, but maybe see if you can move up the obsidian series a little more, try for like a a 450D or 750D it may seem like a lot more money but in the long run the cable management and over build quality will be better.

Hope this helps

Sorry for nagging, I don't want to spend lots of money to find that something is rubbish, so does that build above look better than the original or is there anything else you would change?

It looks good

Again, if you dont do anything other than gaming, you can move back to i4 4670k to save some bucks, and moving from the ASUS Z87-A to MSI Z87-G45 gaming Mobo, partly because of the color scheme, partly because the Z87-A dont OC as good as the Z87-G45 as well as it dont support some feature like the G45. You could also go for a ASRock Z87 Extreme 3 or 4, it good good review. (I'm a bit skeptical on this one since I have never use anything from ASRock before)

Also do you really need to  spend that much on a Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Read Writer? I seriously dont think you will use it enough time to make the price reasonable.

My rig: Intel Core i7 4790k | MSI Z97 PC Mate | GSKILL Ripjaws X 16GB 1866MHz | ADATA Premier SP550 480GB SSD | Seagate Barracuda 3TB | Seagate Barracuda 2TB  | MSI Gaming X GTX 1070 | Thermaltake Versa N21 | Corsair CX550M Semi Modular PSU | AOC G2460PF 144Hz | Logitech G502 | GSKILL Ripjaws KM780  | GAMDIAS HEPHAESTUS V2  PCPartPicker | Old Build Log | New Build Log
