Recently my windows 8 computer broke down. It said it needed to be repaired but when i tried do so it didnt work and stayed on "diagnosing our pc" for ever.

After exhausting all options (restoring to before windows updates and using command promt to restore) i gave up and did a clean install on windows 8.

After that my computer seemed to be ok, i spent the day setting up the computer and playing some games. Then when i went to bed i shut down my computer and then in the morning I boot it up and all of a sudden,

Has my SSD died?

Recovery

Your PC needs to be repaired

A required device isnt connected or can't be accepted

Error code: 0x000000e

You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB drive) contact you system administrator or PC manufacturer

maybe try a clean wipe/secure erase? that might resolve it but use that as a final option because you will have to reinstall windows again.

I had this issue with my Samsung 840 Evo, It done it 3 times in 6 hours, and I had to format each time to fix it. In the end I used DBan dban.org (boot and nuke) and since then it hasn't gone wrong (been a 2 months now).

I tried using dban but now the bios isn't showing the SSD so dban had nothing to wipe
