Desktop keeps freezing on fedora

Sometimes when doing nothing or pressing alt tab the desktop freezes, but applications don't. And the mouse works.

Restarting fixes it but it happens in les ls than a few min

I'm assuming the desktop is frozen, an easy fix on windows, ctrl alt del task manager close the start menue and restart it.

The only thing I can do is alt-f4

Alt f2 open terminal nothing

the top bar no reaction

Alt tab nothing

sorry if I'm dumb and missing something obvious

I found on reddit that Linux doesn't like the default setting in the bios on ryzen for power on idle and It didn't fix it.

Try using the Xorg session. On the login screen, there is a gear in the bottom right corner that gives you that option. If the Xorg session doesn't work, and you're not a Linux nerd, then I'm not sure there's much that can help you. Maybe try another distro?

Fedora is pretty bleeding edge, it uses bleeding edge software and bleeding edge defaults. It's more of a Linux showcase distro than an actual workstation distro.
