Upgrading from Ryzen 3600x to Ryzen 5800x, need help

Hi Everyone,

I am upgrading from a Ryzen 3600x to a Ryzen 5800x on my MSI b450 Tomahawk Max motherboard. I just updated to the latest bios that supports Ryzen 5000 series.

聽

Is there anything more I need to/should do before I insert the new CPU? Do I have to reinstall windows or any drivers?

You shouldn't really need to do anything else.聽

The only thing that comes to mind if you have some issues is to uninstall current chipset drivers and download and install the newest ones.聽

Update the bios, reset and pop in the new one.

that's about it.
