Crazy cooling idea!

hey yall,

 

so i watched the car radiator cooling video,

and had a crazy idea for actually using this.

so my plan is to run cooling tubes out of my pc, through the window gap, and have this setup outside. i will plumb it so it doesn't leak of course. since its outside ill want a filter so it doesn't get too dusty.

 

what do you think?

What are you going to do when the hot air of the outside actually heats you components up?

its always going to be less that 50c outside, and components get hotter than that

Yes, even under heavy load, the fluid temperature rarely exceeds 40-45 degrees for an average loop (conservatively), and that would be with an ambient temperature in the 20's. So if the ambient temperature is in the 40's, so will the fluid temperature, and then the component temperatures will be significantly higher. If your indoor temperature is lower than the outside temperature, then it doesn't make sense to use the outdoor heat to "cool" the PC.
