Should I overclock my zotac mini gtx 970 and if yes what percentage of performance will I gain

Depends on what percentage you overclock. If your temperatures are good enough under heavy load, sure, there is almost no reason not to overclock.

It depends on whether or not you want to trade up heat and noise for a bit more performance. What the exact gains will be no one can really say, as it depends on how far you push the overclock. Usually the gains are in the single digits so don't expect to all of a sudden get double the FPS.
