My pc just shut off after around 5-10 hours of using it (video games) and after it shut off, my Motherboard has a red light on "CPU." I am sure that nothing is loose. This didnt happen the whole day yesterday. I believe that this is just an overheating issue but I dont know. Here is a screenshot:

Your motherboard manual may have more info on that red light.  Modern CPUs don’t generally actually shut down because of high heat unless it’s pretty extreme though.  Generally they just throttle and run slower.  Without any info I don’t know how old your system is.  All I can tell from the photo is the thing has some pcie on it.  Metal rimmed pcie slots are pretty new, so I doubt the cpu is old enough to not have throttling.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
