Now we are getting down to how we define intelligence. But just a comment from me on this particular part of your post.

I would not consider most people with autistic traits that fits your description here as intelligent in any way. Sure they are good at accumulating information and at developing specific skill sets but I don't see that as intelligence.

That comes from how I see "intelligence". In my view "intelligence" is partly being able to accumulate a lot of general knowledge and problem solving skills and being able to apply this knowledge and skills in new situations that you have not been exposed to previously and/or being able to come to conclusions in new (to you) topics based on prior knowledge of other topics (kind of hard to explain). The latter part being something that a lot (not all) people with autistic traits struggle with, they tend to be rather inflexible when the situation goes out of bounds of what they are familiar with.

sure again a perspective..

i do believe that the system of systemic "putting people in boxes" does more harm than good.

it again is just a metric, that people use to try and differentiate eachother. the glove fits some, but it also fails in other areas.

Intelligence: The ability to objectively correct a mistake, and not allow it to be repeated.

Wisdom: The ability to recognize and accept that you are the sole person responsible for correcting a mistake.

Intelligence is taking something I will call A, then taking something I will call B and from those two things, A+B, come up with something new I will call C

Intelligence is not just remembering A or B or both as a book can store that information and we do not call a book intelligent.

This is actually a field of study.  I get the impression it’s changed a bunch over time.  When I was very young the definition of intelligence was much narrower than it is today.  There are a bunch of private companies that produce various kinds of tests that attempt to measure it and even those tests have changed.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

If what you say/do benefits both you, and others, you're intelligent.

If what you say/do benefits others, but harms yourself, you're hopeless.

If what you say/do benefits yourself, but harms others, you're a thief.

If what you say/do harms yourself, and others, you're an idiot.

Has anyone quoted Forrest Gump yet?
