The best camera for your needs, is the one that feels great in your hands.

If it's uncomfortable or awkward to use, then you will be less inclined to use it (source: I am a professional photographer)

So, go play with a bunch of cameras at your local shop, see how you like the most. That will be the one that is best for you.

As to the lenses, a beginner won't be able to take advantage of expensive lenses. Get yourself a 50mm f/1.8 lens. Very very flexible. They don't call it the "nifty fifty" for nothin.

I also agree with what @Radium_Angel said about how it feels like your hand. You may not care as much if the camera hangs around your neck or sits on a tripod for most of the time.

My suggestion for a body would be something like a Canon 77D or Nikon D7200 or similar. For lenses, the 50mm or some 'normal zoom' lens.

If you're going to end up continuing with photography, the general consensus is to invest in glass(lenses), but that also means you're typically stuck to that brand/ecosystem unless you feel like selling and rebuying.

You could consider getting a second hand camera. From sites like mpb.com

I would recommend the Canon 5D Mark IV

5dkm4 is the last body I'd start with in 2021

for action stuff you want a higher end crop body
