Hi everyone,

First experiment in the world of home servers and looking to also use as a second pc to stream games into my living room. I'm pretty happy with the build and I've gone with premium brands simply because I know and trust them.

My big issue is fitting the 240mm radiator into the GPU compartment. I've attached an image showing the PSU placement (red) and the provided power cable that routes through the case to the other side (blue). This power cable, unfortunately, is the only thing preventing the use of a 240mm radiator as the fixed end of the cable sticks too far into the case. I could put the radiator on top of the fans, raising it above the cable but then the tubing to the pump sticks verticaly higher than the top of the case, so it wont fit that way either.

So, can anyone tell me why it might be a bad idea to cut a whole in the outer chassis (yellow) and connect to the PSU directly, rather than using the provided cable?

And finally, any other alarm bells ringing for the rest of the build?

Thanks
