The Titan range is more towards productivity. They are supposed to be for CUDA rendering and things along those lines. They are good at gaming because they are getting GeForce drivers not Quadro drivers. These drivers would mean more gaming optimizations

Let's say you want to buy a card for mining. You can spend $700 on a 780ti, but It won't do very well, relative to price.

Or you could spend half as much on something like a 7970, which meets your needs for a much lower price, and is by all regards, a smarter buy.

There is a reason why everybody says the titans are a workstation card; for gaming, it just doesn't make sense to buy one. Literally, the only difference between a titan B and a 780 ti is the amount of memory, which is negligible for 99.99% of users.

As for the Titan Z, it doesn't take a genius to figure out he's getting ripped off if he's offered two apples for $3, when he could buy one for $1.
