Gaming lag spiking

So I'm currently running my network off of a Wi-fi repeater and am experiencing lag spikes in Valorant and Overwatch but not rainbow six. I'm completely clueless but is there some kind of solution for that? Anyways thank you for your time.

Run an ethernet cable to your PC / Laptop.
Not joking, whatever you do with your WiFi setup it will always be inferior to a plain old ethernet cable.
