I’m interested in setting up a nas for my home security system but don’t know how can anyone help me out

Sure, but we're gonna need more details here, how is the NAS going to play into things, for starters?

Will need surveillance drives for that if you want records of the footage, other then that, I think you need a pc for that

whats your budget?

how many cameras do you need and which resolution do you want to have?

do you want to record the footage and how log do you want to keep the footage stored for before its deleted?

is power consumption any issues to look for?
